- • This part-time Investment Banking Associate role within Aptura’s AI Residency program bridges deep finance expertise with cutting-edge AI development, allowing professionals to shape how frontier AI models understand and reason through complex corporate finance scenarios.
- • Day to day, you will generate, refine, and evaluate investment banking content — including pitch decks, market updates, fairness opinions, and transaction analyses — to train AI systems in replicating senior IB judgment across M&A, ECM/DCM, leverage finance, and syndicate deals.
- • Aptura, founded by ex-Lazard and Partners Group professionals, operates at the intersection of finance and AI, leveraging real-world deal experience to improve AI model training from hubs in London and San Francisco.
- • In this role, you will gain rare insight into how AI labs develop models, sharpen your ability to articulate financial judgment in writing, and contribute directly to advancing AI reasoning in capital markets — all while maintaining flexible, remote work.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of investment banking or capital markets experience at a bulge bracket or elite boutique firm
- • Associate, VP, or Director level experience in M&A, industry coverage, ECM/DCM, leverage finance, or syndicate
- • Deep expertise in at least one area: M&A deal structuring/valuation, equity/debt capital markets execution, sector-specific coverage, or syndicate/book-running
- • Strong financial modeling skills (LBO, 3-statement, DCF) and comfort with complex transaction analysis and client-facing materials
- • Ability to articulate investment banking judgment clearly and precisely in writing
