- • This part-time Investment Banking Associate AI Residency at Aptura Inc. offers a unique opportunity to bridge institutional finance expertise with frontier AI systems, helping shape how AI models reason and make decisions in high-stakes financial contexts such as M&A, valuation, and deal execution.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing realistic, deal-relevant prompts for AI systems, comparing human versus machine judgment in financial analysis, designing frameworks that translate banking expertise into AI challenges, and constructing expert financial benchmarks using DCF, LBO, comps, and precedent transactions to evaluate AI performance.
- • Aptura is a London and San Francisco-headquartered firm founded by former Lazard and Partners Group professionals, collaborating with leading AI labs to advance AI’s role in institutional finance, combining deep capital markets experience with applied AI research.
- • The role enables the candidate to gain early, hands-on exposure to AI’s impact on investment banking workflows, build a differentiated profile at the IB-AI intersection, and contribute to cutting-edge research that could influence future buy-side, strategy, and product finance roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–4+ years of investment banking or corporate finance experience at a top international bank (bulge bracket, elite boutique, or top-tier middle-market)
- • Associate-level experience with sector-agnostic background
- • Strong modelling and valuation skills including DCF, LBO, comps, and precedent transaction analysis with live deal exposure
- • Excellent written communication and meticulous attention to detail
- • Genuine intellectual curiosity about AI applications in finance
