📋 Description

• Investment Banking Associate – M&A, AI Residency (Part-time) at Aptura Inc., a company founded by ex-Lazard and Partners Group professionals that bridges finance expertise with AI model training to improve how Frontier AI handles corporate finance.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include contributing M&A deal experience to a structured research project, generating, refining, and evaluating content that reflects senior M&A professionals’ thinking across the transaction lifecycle—from origination and pitching through execution and close.
• The team at Aptura combines deep financial industry knowledge with AI innovation, operating remotely from headquarters in London and San Francisco to develop AI systems grounded in real-world corporate finance practices.
• In this role, you will gain rare early exposure to how AI labs develop models, sharpen your ability to articulate complex M&A judgment in writing, and directly influence the reasoning capabilities of AI systems in investment banking and capital markets.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in M&A advisory at a bulge bracket or elite boutique investment bank (e.g., Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Lazard, Evercore, etc.)
• Associate-level experience in M&A advisory, buy-side, or sell-side transactions
• Deep expertise in M&A deal structuring, valuation, and transaction execution
• Strong financial modeling skills including LBO, DCF, trading comps, precedent transactions, and comfort with fairness opinions and client-facing materials like CIMs and pitch decks
• Ability to articulate M&A judgment clearly and precisely in writing
