📋 Description

• This role is critical to advancing AI systems that can reason like top-tier investment banking professionals, directly contributing to the development of models that understand complex financial transactions, valuation methodologies, and deal execution processes. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between human financial intuition and machine learning, enabling AI to support real-world IB workflows with greater accuracy and contextual awareness.
• You will evaluate, generate, and refine AI training content that mirrors how senior investment bankers think through transactions — from origination and pitching to due diligence, execution, and closing — ensuring the AI learns from authentic, deal-specific reasoning patterns used at bulge bracket and elite boutique firms.
• Day to day, you will review and annotate AI-generated financial content for accuracy, relevance, and sophistication in areas such as M&A structuring, valuation models (DCF, LBO, comps), ECM/DCM execution, and syndicate mechanics, providing expert feedback to improve model outputs.
• You will create and refine scenario-based training examples that reflect real IB deal logic, including drafting pitch book excerpts, fairness opinion summaries, transaction rationale narratives, and client-facing materials that align with industry standards and senior-level thinking.
• You will collaborate with the AI training team to identify gaps in model understanding of complex financial concepts, such as waterfall distributions, covenant structures, or regulatory considerations, and contribute domain-specific corrections and enhancements.
• You will participate in structured review cycles to validate AI-generated outputs against real deal precedents, ensuring the model captures nuanced judgment calls — such as when to walk away from a deal, how to assess synergies, or how to structure earn-outs — based on your frontline experience.
• You will help develop and refine evaluation rubrics used to assess AI performance in IB/CM contexts, translating your expertise into measurable criteria for model improvement.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in investment banking or capital markets at a bulge bracket or elite boutique firm (e.g., Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Bank of America, Citi, Barclays, UBS, Deutsche Bank, Wells Fargo, Evercore, Moelis, Centerview, Lazard, Jefferies)
• Associate, VP, or Director level experience in M&A, industry coverage, ECM/DCM, leveraged finance, or syndicate
• Deep expertise in at least one area: M&A deal structuring and valuation, equity or debt capital markets execution, sector-specific coverage, or syndicate/book-running
• Strong financial modeling skills including LBO, 3-statement, DCF models, and comfort with complex transaction analysis, fairness opinions, and client-facing materials
• Ability to commit 15+ hours per week with flexible scheduling
• Eligibility to work remotely globally or in-person if based in London or San Francisco
