- • The Investment Operations Senior Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of investment trade processing and settlement operations for American Family Mutual Insurance Company’s investment portfolio. This senior-level position supports cross-platform trade execution, data integrity, and operational excellence across diverse asset classes, directly contributing to the firm’s financial stability and risk management.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing outsourced trade support activities against service level standards, overseeing security master file setups and settlement instruction configurations, validating start-of-day and end-of-day processing results, confirming external manager data loads, maintaining broker and trade routing information, and participating in compliance and process improvement initiatives. The role also involves conducting limited research projects, updating databases, supporting collateral management, and driving documentation and system enhancements.
- • The role sits within AmFam Investments, a dedicated investment operations team focused on delivering reliable, scalable, and secure investment services that support the broader mission of American Family Insurance Group to protect and empower customers. The team emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and adherence to regulatory and internal control standards.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in investment operations, trade lifecycle management, and financial data systems while gaining exposure to automation and AI-driven process improvements. 🎯 Requirements
- • Demonstrated experience in financial services operations within an insurance company, asset manager, bank, or related industry firm.
- • Extensive knowledge of cash management concepts and proven ability to manage and reconcile financial positions across asset classes.
- • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office products and investment administration/operation systems, including trade settlement and security master platforms.
- • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey complex operational details clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- • Familiarity with AI process improvements and automation is a plus, particularly as applied to trade support and data quality initiatives.
- • Willingness to comply with background checks and sign a non-disclosure agreement for proprietary information and trade secrets.
