- • Monitor and analyze the performance of Jasiri Growth Accelerator ventures to identify underperforming startups and determine root causes of underperformance.
- • Develop and implement customized performance improvement plans in collaboration with the JGA program team to enhance venture growth trajectories.
- • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across the portfolio of early-stage startups, identifying financial, operational, and market-related risks.
- • Design and execute risk mitigation strategies to ensure ventures remain on track for sustainable growth and investor readiness.
- • Deliver investor readiness programs to JGA ventures, including training on data room preparation, pitch deck development, financial modeling, and due diligence processes.
- • Act as a strategic bridge between JGA ventures and potential investors by leveraging an established network of venture capitalists, angel investors, and financial institutions.
- • Facilitate direct introductions, organize investor engagement events such as deal rooms and networking sessions, and coordinate one-on-one meetings between ventures and funders.
- • Work closely with startups to develop tailored funding strategies aligned with their stage, growth objectives, and capital needs, including advice on capital structure and deal terms.
- • Advise ventures on negotiation strategies for term sheets, SAFE notes, convertible notes, and equity financing structures.
- • Prepare and deliver regular presentations to the Executive Committee and Investment Committee on portfolio health, investment performance, key risks, and recommended investment decisions.
- • Generate monthly portfolio performance reports that highlight risks, mitigation actions, and progress against key metrics.
- • Create funding strategy documents for each venture, outlining optimal funding pathways, target investors, and timing recommendations.
- • Produce quarterly Portfolio Valuation Analysis reports using appropriate valuation methodologies for early-revenue startups.
- • Prepare all required investment committee materials, including investment memos, risk assessments, portfolio health summaries, and decision recommendations.
- • Collaborate with the Monitoring & Evaluation team to co-design investor readiness indicators and feed venture-level data into portfolio dashboards.
- • Partner with the Ecosystems and Partnerships Manager to build peer-learning platforms that strengthen alumni networks and foster a supportive funding readiness ecosystem.
- • Ensure all deliverables align with Jasiri Growth Accelerator’s program objectives and contribute to measurable impact on venture fundraising success.
🎯 Requirements
- • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance, or a relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., MSc, MBA) in accounting, finance, or a related field
- • 5+ years of experience closing deals and supporting startups through fundraising, with a focus on Seed to Series A stages
- • Proven track record in investment, venture capital, or private equity, with demonstrated dealmaking experience
- • Solid understanding of startup financing instruments including SAFE notes, convertible notes, cap tables, and investor rights
- • Strong network of investors and financial institutions active in early-stage markets
- • Practical experience with investment due diligence, investment committee materials, and post-investment portfolio support
