- • Build and maintain production-grade iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI for BJAK’s insurance and financial services platform.
- • Design and implement intuitive, responsive mobile interfaces for core workflows including insurance quotations, policy management, claims submission, and payment processing.
- • Integrate backend RESTful APIs to enable real-time data exchange for insurance transactions, user authentication, and service status updates.
- • Develop mobile features that incorporate AI-assisted capabilities such as chat experiences, personalized recommendations, and automated workflow triggers.
- • Design UX patterns for real-time interactions including loading states, streaming responses, retry mechanisms, and graceful fallbacks to ensure seamless user experiences.
- • Optimize application performance by reducing memory usage, improving CPU efficiency, and extending battery life across diverse iOS device models.
- • Implement and maintain analytics, crash reporting, and user behavior tracking systems to drive data-informed product improvements.
- • Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, designers, and AI/ML teams throughout the full development lifecycle—from ideation to production deployment.
- • Ensure all mobile releases meet high App Store quality standards with rigorous testing, code reviews, and stability monitoring.
- • Continuously elevate engineering standards by refining iOS architecture, adopting best practices, and improving code maintainability and scalability.
- • Own end-to-end delivery of mobile features including design, implementation, testing, monitoring, and iterative refinement based on user feedback and system metrics.
- • Contribute to a scalable and maintainable iOS codebase using modern Swift concurrency (async/await), Swift Package Manager (SPM), and modular architecture patterns.
- • Work within a hybrid model based in Malaysia, collaborating with a global engineering team across multiple time zones and regions.
- • Participate in CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and deployments, ensuring rapid and reliable release cycles.
- • Focus on system reliability by reducing production incidents, minimizing crashes, and improving app responsiveness under real-world network and device conditions.
- • Translate product requirements into technical solutions that balance user needs, performance constraints, and long-term architectural health.
- • Maintain a strong ownership mindset by proactively identifying edge cases, performance bottlenecks, and potential failures before they impact users.
- • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence, speed of execution, and practical decision-making within a fast-paced, high-ownership engineering environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of iOS development experience using Swift
- • Strong understanding of iOS architecture patterns (MVVM, MVC, or modern equivalents)
- • Proven experience shipping production iOS applications
- • Strong knowledge of async/await, concurrency, and background task handling
- • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with distributed systems
- • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills (memory, CPU, battery)
