- • Build and maintain production-grade iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI as the core development stack.
- • Own the end-to-end iOS client experience where AI interactions are central to product functionality, not peripheral integrations.
- • Design and implement UX patterns for AI-driven interfaces, including streaming responses, loading states, retries, fallbacks, and user trust indicators.
- • Integrate AI-powered features via backend APIs, ensuring seamless communication between client and server-side AI systems.
- • Optimize application performance, memory usage, battery efficiency, and CPU utilization to deliver responsive, low-latency experiences.
- • Capture and instrument user signals and feedback to inform AI model evaluation, iteration, and system improvements.
- • Collaborate closely with backend and machine learning engineers to align on API design, data flow, and system behavior for AI workflows.
- • Ensure high App Store quality standards, including stability, crash-free usage, and adherence to Apple’s guidelines.
- • Maintain production reliability by detecting, monitoring, and resolving issues with clear root-cause analysis.
- • Implement and manage feature flags and remote configuration systems to enable controlled feature rollouts and A/B testing.
- • Work with on-device machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow Lite for lightweight inference where applicable.
- • Design for non-deterministic AI behavior, accounting for latency, partial failures, and unpredictable model outputs in user-facing flows.
- • Contribute to a high-talent-density team that values independent execution, collective decision-making, and rapid iteration.
- • Ship and iterate on a product focused on long-running workflows, persistent context, and real-world task completion with high reliability.
- • Participate in a transparent and efficient interview process evaluated by technical team members, with up to four virtual or onsite interviews.
- • Contribute to a mission of delivering a magical, practical AI assistant to billions of users through reliable, user-trusted software.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of iOS development experience using Swift
- • Hands-on experience integrating AI-powered features into mobile applications
- • Strong understanding of async/await, concurrency, and background tasks in iOS
- • Solid iOS performance and memory optimization skills
- • Experience shipping and maintaining production iOS apps
- • Comfort designing for latency, partial failure, and non-deterministic AI behavior
