Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Architect, deploy, and continuously optimize enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure that powers supplemental benefits for 8.5 million members across the United States. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of Azure and AWS environments, ensuring 24/7 availability, security, and performance.
- • Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, enforcing repeatable, auditable, and compliant deployments. You will codify every network segment, storage account, and compute resource so that environments can be spun up—or torn down—in minutes, not days.
- • Build and refine Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines that enable application teams to release features faster without sacrificing HIPAA, CMS, or NIST compliance. You will champion branching strategies, automated testing gates, and blue-green or canary release patterns.
- • Establish and govern multi-cloud networking topologies, including Azure VNETs, AWS VPCs, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and private endpoints. You will secure east-west and north-south traffic with firewall rules, NSGs, WAF policies, and zero-trust principles.
- • Partner with IT Business Analysts and Application Support teams to translate complex business requirements into resilient technical solutions. You will act as the bridge between regulatory mandates and cutting-edge cloud technology.
- • Implement comprehensive observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and AWS CloudWatch. You will create dashboards, alerts, and runbooks that detect anomalies before they impact members.
- • Provide tier-3 operational support for critical production services, participating in an on-call rotation that values rapid incident response and blameless post-mortems. You will automate repetitive support tasks to reduce toil and free the team for innovation.
- • Mentor junior engineers and developers on source-control hygiene, pipeline best practices, and cloud cost optimization. You will foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- • Evaluate emerging cloud services and third-party tools, running proof-of-concepts that balance innovation with risk. You will present findings to leadership with clear ROI, security, and compliance assessments.
- • Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are tested quarterly, validating RPO/RTO targets for mission-critical applications. You will script failover scenarios and document runbooks for auditors and operations staff.
- • Drive cost optimization initiatives by rightsizing resources, leveraging reserved instances, and implementing automated shutdown schedules. You will present monthly savings reports to finance and engineering leadership.
- • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate NIST controls into every layer of the stack—from identity and access management to encryption at rest and in transit. You will participate in annual penetration-test remediation and security-awareness training.
- • Contribute to a remote-first culture that values transparency, empathy, and results. You will use modern collaboration tools (Teams, Slack, Miro) to keep stakeholders informed and engaged regardless of time zone.
- • Champion Avēsis’ social-responsibility initiatives by volunteering in local communities and mentoring students through educational alliances. You will embody the company’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in every interaction.
