  • • Lead and manage a distributed IT team spanning multiple time zones from Hawaii to the East Coast, ensuring consistent 24/7 support coverage and service delivery for a fully remote workforce.
  • • Own day-to-day IT operations including hardware lifecycle management, software and endpoint provisioning, user support, identity and access management, and IT asset inventory maintenance.
  • • Serve as a hands-on technical resource by directly provisioning laptops, troubleshooting access issues, assisting with escalations, and performing security-related tasks alongside the team.
  • • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes in partnership with HR and Security teams to ensure timely, accurate, and auditable provisioning and deprovisioning of devices and accounts.
  • • Oversee hardware procurement, software licensing, vendor relationships, and IT budget management to support organizational needs and cost efficiency.
  • • Develop, implement, and enforce IT security policies and procedures aligned with HIPAA, SOC 2, and other regulatory requirements to protect Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • • Administer and maintain endpoint security tools, Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions to secure a remote workforce and enforce least-privilege access controls.
  • • Conduct ongoing access reviews, authenticate authentication standards, and ensure compliance with PHI handling requirements through strict access management practices.
  • • Support audit readiness efforts by maintaining thorough documentation of IT policies, procedures, and controls, and collecting evidence for compliance initiatives.
  • • Monitor and report on IT operational metrics, service levels, incidents, and trends to drive continuous improvement and proactive issue resolution.
  • • Partner with Engineering, Security, Compliance, HR, and business stakeholders to align IT strategy with organizational growth, security initiatives, and technology needs.
  • • Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen security controls, improve employee experience, and scale IT processes across a fast-growing healthcare technology company.
  • • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
  • • Maintain flexibility to support team operations across Hawaii Standard Time (HST) through Eastern Time (ET), with Pacific Time Zone candidates strongly preferred.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a management, team lead, or supervisory capacity
  • • Direct experience working within healthcare or similarly regulated environments with strong familiarity with HIPAA, PHI handling, and audit readiness practices
  • • Proven experience managing distributed IT teams across multiple time zones, including establishing support coverage models and escalation processes
  • • Strong hands-on technical expertise in hardware support, software and endpoint provisioning, troubleshooting, identity and access management, and IT operations
  • • Practical experience implementing security best practices, access management controls, endpoint security measures, and compliance-focused IT processes
  • • Experience administering MDM solutions, SSO and identity platforms, and cloud-based collaboration and productivity tools
