đź“‹ Description
- • As an IT Operations Automation Engineer at Hopper Inc., you will be a pivotal technical solutions expert, instrumental in developing, facilitating, and overseeing the automation of IT Operations. This role is designed for a "first-principles" thinker, someone who possesses the unique ability to deconstruct complex technical challenges into their fundamental elements. You will then meticulously rebuild these processes using automated logic, thereby driving significant advancements in operational maturity and efficiency across the organization. Your contributions will directly impact how IT services are managed, secured, and scaled, ensuring Hopper's technological infrastructure keeps pace with its ambitious growth.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will be dynamic and impactful. A core part of your role will involve building and maintaining critical automation platforms, with a specific focus on developing an Automation Service Gateway. This gateway will serve as the standardized mechanism through which IT Operations services are exposed and secured, ensuring a consistent and robust operational framework. You will be expected to proactively identify opportunities where automation can enhance existing processes or replace manual workflows entirely. This involves a deep dive into current operational procedures to pinpoint inefficiencies and areas ripe for technological improvement. Following best practices for the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), you will develop new automated processes, ensuring they are rigorously tested and seamlessly implemented. A key aspect of this role is close collaboration with various stakeholders across the company. You will partner with these teams to understand their operational needs and challenges, working collaboratively to replace manual, time-consuming workflows with scalable, compliance-driven automated systems. This partnership is crucial for ensuring that automation efforts are aligned with business objectives and deliver tangible value. Furthermore, you will be responsible for providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support and troubleshooting for the automation platforms and related systems. This includes diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, and when necessary, coordinating effectively with external vendors and internal teams to ensure elevated support requirements are met promptly and efficiently. Your expertise will be called upon to ensure the continuous operation and improvement of our automated IT infrastructure.
