You will own the end-to-end resource life-cycle—from strategic workforce planning and sourcing to onboarding, deployment, and long-term career development—ensuring every squad has the right people at the right time to deliver measurable business value.
- • Serve as the single point of accountability for resource capacity, utilization, and financial targets within your assigned portfolio. By continuously analyzing demand forecasts, sprint velocity, and budget constraints, you will dynamically re-allocate talent, negotiate resource swaps, and escalate risks before they impact delivery timelines.

Through regular 1:1s, coaching, and data-driven feedback loops, you will craft individualized growth plans that elevate technical craftsmanship, close skills gaps, and create clear advancement pathways for every team member.
- • Design and execute short- and long-term recruitment strategies in lockstep with Talent Acquisition and the Director of Technology Advancement & Outreach. You will leverage market intelligence, diversity-focused sourcing channels, university partnerships, and external bootcamps to maintain a robust, evergreen pipeline of qualified candidates.
- • Own the hiring process from requisition approval to offer acceptance: craft compelling job descriptions, conduct behavioral and technical interviews, facilitate consensus-driven hiring decisions, and negotiate competitive offers that close critical roles quickly and fairly.
- • Establish and monitor key agility indicators—such as sprint predictability, employee engagement scores, attrition rates, and time-to-fill—that spotlight trends and drive continuous improvement. Present actionable insights to senior leadership and iterate on staffing strategies in real time.
- • Proactively identify and resolve conflicts, performance concerns, and productivity bottlenecks. Whether mediating workload imbalances, addressing under-performance, or removing systemic blockers, you will act swiftly to protect team morale and safeguard delivery commitments.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Compliance, and Risk to ensure all staffing decisions align with enterprise policies, regulatory requirements, and budgetary guardrails. You will model ethical leadership by reporting suspicious activity, customer complaints, and policy violations through the appropriate channels.
- • Drive enterprise-wide resource initiatives and special projects—such as skills guilds, rotational programs, or diversity hackathons—that strengthen Associated Bank’s reputation as a best place to work in the Midwest and reinforce our commitment to uplifting colleagues and communities alike.
