Full Job Description

📋 Description

• Provide on-site IT support across multiple customer sites, spending 4–5 days per week at client locations
• Travel between Bristol, Worcester, and other designated sites to deliver technical support and cover for team members
• Support Windows 11 environments through troubleshooting, log analysis, and system maintenance
• Deliver hardware break/fix support and basic software installation and configuration
• Manage Active Directory operations including user account creation, modification, and deactivation for joiners, leavers, and movers
• Maintain and support core infrastructure services: DHCP, DNS, and VAMT
• Perform data management tasks including tape library archiving and backup verification
• Conduct routine BAU operational activities: antivirus monitoring, network health checks, storage and capacity monitoring, and hardware diagnostics
• Assist with office relocations, hardware installations, and basic server maintenance tasks
• Accurately log all support activities and update ticketing systems in accordance with documented procedures
• Follow standard operating procedures and contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation
• Work independently and as part of a team to resolve incidents and complete tasks within agreed timeframes
• Maintain a proactive approach to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving IT environments
• Engage with AI tools and technologies as part of CDW’s AI-fluent culture, demonstrating curiosity and willingness to explore AI-enhanced workflows
• Adhere to all security protocols and maintain required clearances throughout employment
• Support enterprise-level IT environments with a focus on reliability, accuracy, and customer satisfaction

🎯 Requirements

• Eligible for and able to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC/NPPV)
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel between Bristol, Worcester, and other client sites
• Ideally based within 45 minutes of Bristol
• Basic to intermediate IT knowledge with strong willingness to learn
• Experience with Windows OS, Windows Server, networking fundamentals, and hardware troubleshooting
