Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Administer Okta for day-to-day identity management including user provisioning, group management, SSO application configuration, and MFA policy enforcement to ensure secure and timely access control.
- • Own and optimize joiner-mover-leaver (JML) workflows to guarantee access is granted on day one, adjusted during role changes, and fully revoked upon departure with zero manual gaps.
- • Audit organizational access regularly to identify stale accounts, over-provisioned roles, and orphaned app assignments before they become security incidents.
- • Support deployment and adoption of FIDO2/WebAuthn and YubiKey 5 series hardware security keys for privileged access across the organization.
- • Administer Iru (formerly Kandji) MDM for a macOS-first endpoint fleet, managing device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance baselines, and policy enforcement.
- • Ensure all managed endpoints meet security standards including disk encryption, screen lock policies, patch cadence, and EDR agent deployment.
- • Coordinate global hardware logistics for onboarding: device procurement, enrollment, and first-day readiness across multiple time zones.
- • Identify, track, and drive remediation of unmanaged or non-compliant devices, escalating persistent violations to maintain organizational security posture.
- • Maintain MDM configurations as code — ensuring all changes are versioned, reviewable, and reversible to enable scalability and auditability.
- • Administer Slack enterprise workspace: govern channels, manage app integrations, control guest access, and oversee Connect channel operations.
- • Manage the corporate SaaS portfolio including Google Workspace, Zoom, Notion, and others — owning app provisioning, license tracking, access reviews, and data classification.
- • Review and approve new SaaS integration requests against security and data handling standards prior to deployment.
- • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date inventory of all corporate applications, their owners, access scope, and data sensitivity levels.
- • Automate repetitive IT tasks through scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) or workflow tooling to eliminate manual toil and reduce human error.
- • Write and maintain comprehensive runbooks for all core IT operations to ensure consistent coverage across time zones and eliminate single-point dependency.
- • Contribute to key IT metrics including onboarding time-to-access, offboarding completion rate, MDM compliance percentage, and access review cadence.
- • Partner with the Security Engineering team to address gaps identified in SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance audits related to identity and endpoint controls.
- • Operate in a follow-the-sun model alongside the IDM/MDM Lead on the West Coast to provide global IT and identity coverage.
- • Work autonomously in an async-first environment, documenting decisions, processes, and automation clearly to ensure transparency and continuity.
- • Treat every identity and endpoint decision as a security control, not administrative overhead, aligning IT operations with the company’s security-first culture.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–4 years in corporate IT, IT operations, or identity administration at a cloud-native or SaaS company
- • Hands-on Okta administration experience including SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, and group/policy configuration
- • Experience with a modern MDM platform (Iru/Kandji, Jamf, or equivalent) managing a macOS-first fleet
- • Working knowledge of JML processes and understanding of security risks from delayed access changes
- • Comfortable with scripting or automation (Bash, Python, or similar) to reduce manual tasks
- • Async-first communicator who documents decisions and maintains clear runbooks
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully Remote with global hiring and no corporate offices
- • ESOP (equity ownership) in Supabase for all team members
- • Tech Allowance to set up an ideal work environment (laptop, monitor, headphones, etc.)
- • 100% health insurance coverage for employees and 80% for dependents, regardless of location
- • Annual company off-site gathering in a new city for team connection and collaboration
- • Annual education allowance for courses, books, conferences, or professional development
