📋 Description

• As a Java Software Engineer at KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, you will contribute to the world’s leading travel search engine that processes billions of queries annually, helping users find flights, stays, rental cars, and vacation packages while driving innovation in business travel solutions.
• You will extract data from databases, write scripts to parse, clean, combine, and process data; communicate with APIs via REST or SOAP; configure enterprise applications for large customers; develop debugging tools; and collaborate with experienced developers on diverse, fast-paced projects.
• You will join a global team at KAYAK, which operates brands like momondo, Cheapflights, and HotelsCombined, where innovation is core to the culture and every employee can make an impact in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
• You will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in Java, data processing, API integration, and enterprise software development while working on meaningful projects that improve travel experiences for millions of users worldwide.

🎯 Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience with Java programming
• Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL or Oracle
• Experience with Unix shell scripting, Spring & Mybatis frameworks, DOM, DOM, XPath, JQuery, CSS, and API development using REST, Web Service, SOAP
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
