• • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant/Junior Controller to join our dynamic finance team. This is a crucial, hands-on operational role designed to support the day-to-day financial activities of our company and foster close collaboration with the Financial Controller and CFO. You will gain invaluable exposure to modern financial practices, including SaaS-style revenue models, intricate client fund reconciliations, and the unique accounting challenges presented by crypto-related transactions. • • As a key member of our finance department, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of accounting operations and reconciliations. You will be tasked with performing daily bank reconciliations for both operating and custodian accounts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. A significant part of your role will involve conducting meticulous client banking reconciliations, with a strict emphasis on maintaining the segregation of client funds from company funds to ensure compliance and trust. You will also manage and track accounts payable, which includes accurately booking expenses and diligently following up on outstanding invoices to maintain healthy cash flow. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining an accurate general ledger, ensuring all entries are supported by proper and organized documentation.
• • In the realm of revenue recognition and accounts receivable, you will play a vital role in supporting the accurate recognition of revenue across our diverse revenue streams, including subscription-based services and platform usage fees. You will actively monitor accounts receivable and AR aging reports, identifying and following up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collection. Your contributions will extend to assisting with key subscription metrics, such as Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), and churn tracking, providing critical insights into our business performance.
• • The role also involves specialized accounting for crypto and platform-related activities. You will be responsible for tracking and reconciling crypto transactions on a daily basis. While no trading experience is required, a comfort level with understanding transaction flows and digital asset movements is essential. You will support the reconciliation between platform activity and our accounting records, ensuring that all digital asset movements are accurately reflected in our financial statements. This includes assisting in ensuring accurate financial reporting related to digital assets, adhering to best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• • Your involvement in financial reporting and compliance will be instrumental. You will assist in the monthly preparation of financial statements, contributing to the timely and accurate reporting of our financial position. You will support VAT reconciliations, filings, and quarterly reporting requirements, ensuring we meet all statutory obligations. A key aspect of this role is helping to ensure compliance with all relevant tax, financial, and regulatory requirements. You will also play a part in supporting audit readiness by preparing necessary schedules and documentation for external audits, demonstrating our commitment to transparency and good governance.
• • While this is primarily an operational role, you will also provide support in budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. You will assist the Financial Controller and CFO with monthly budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor burn rates and track cash flow, and contribute to unit economics analysis, such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) versus Lifetime Value (LTV). You will also support department heads in tracking and forecasting their respective spend, promoting financial discipline across the organization.
• • Finally, you will contribute to systems and process improvement initiatives. You will assist with the implementation and maintenance of our cloud-based accounting systems, which may include platforms like QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage Intacct. You will help ensure that our accounting systems are correctly synchronized with our CRM, billing, and payment platforms, streamlining data flow and reducing manual intervention. Your insights will be valuable in improving accounting automation, refining workflows, and enhancing overall data accuracy, driving efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.
