- • In this fully remote role, based in Greece, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dynamic Finance team. You will work closely with our Financial Controller and CFO, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of our financial processes. - • Your primary responsibility will be managing the end-to-end accounts payable process. This includes meticulously collecting, verifying, and processing all incoming supplier invoices. You will be tasked with renaming, organizing, and accurately uploading these documents into our accounting system, ensuring all necessary information is complete for posting by the accountant.
- • You will also be instrumental in our bank and payment activities. This involves actively monitoring automated bank feeds to identify any missing receipts or unmatched transactions. A key part of your role will be to proactively follow up with internal teams to secure any outstanding invoices or supporting documentation required for accurate record-keeping.
- • Furthermore, you will prepare comprehensive payment batches for review and approval by the CFO, ensuring that all payments are processed accurately and on time. This requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to financial accuracy.
- • In terms of reconciliation and controls, you will ensure that all accounts payable balances are accurately reconciled within the accounting system. You will be expected to highlight any discrepancies that arise and diligently follow up to ensure their prompt resolution. Your support will also be essential during month-end closing procedures, where you will assist with required AP checks to maintain financial integrity.
- • Beyond day-to-day operations, you will act as a key operational contact for any bank compliance or documentation requests. This involves supporting timely and accurate responses to Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), or other bank-related queries, ensuring our company remains compliant with all regulatory requirements.
- • This role demands a high level of organization, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, requiring you to balance execution with planning and strategy. 🎯 Requirements
- • 2–4+ years of experience in accounts payable, finance operations, or a closely related field.
- • Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and online banking portals.
- • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- • Perfect fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- • Experience operating in fast-growing startup environments is highly desirable.
