- • As a Junior Accounts Payable & Finance Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Finance team by meticulously managing supplier invoices, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payments, and contributing to the overall integrity of our financial operations. You will work closely with our Financial Controller, Nikolett, and our CFO, Marusa, gaining invaluable experience in a high-growth startup setting.
- • Your primary responsibility will be the end-to-end management of accounts payable operations. This includes the diligent collection, verification, and processing of all incoming supplier invoices. You will be tasked with renaming, organizing, and uploading these documents into our accounting system, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and ready for posting by the accountant. This meticulous attention to detail is paramount to maintaining accurate financial records.
- • In addition to invoice processing, you will be actively involved in bank and payment activities. This entails monitoring automated bank feeds to identify any missing receipts or unmatched items, and proactively following up with internal teams to secure the required invoices or supporting documentation. You will also prepare payment batches for review and approval by the CFO, ensuring that all outgoing payments are accurate and authorized.
- • A key aspect of this role involves reconciliation and controls. You will ensure that accounts payable balances are reconciled correctly within the accounting system, highlighting any discrepancies and driving their resolution. Your support will be essential during month-end closing procedures, particularly with AP-related checks, contributing to the financial close process.
- • Furthermore, you will act as an operational point of contact for bank compliance and documentation requests. This involves supporting timely responses to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) queries, as well as other bank-related inquiries, ensuring our operations remain compliant and transparent.
- • This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. Experience with accounting systems and online banking portals is essential. The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively in a remote environment is critical for success. - • 2–4+ years of experience in accounts payable, finance operations, or a closely related field.
- • Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and online banking portals.
- • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- • Perfect fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
