đź“‹ Description
- • PhotoRoom SAS, a rapidly growing and profitable AI photo editing company, is seeking a motivated Junior FP&A Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. Since our launch in 2020 and acceptance into Y Combinator, we have become the world's leading AI photo editor, empowering millions of users and major enterprises like Amazon and Decathlon to create studio-quality product images effortlessly. With over 300 million downloads and processing more than 5 billion images annually, PhotoRoom is at the forefront of visual content creation technology, serving both individual creators and B2B clients through our app and API solutions.
- • As the second member of our Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting financial planning, reporting, and business analysis across the entire organization. This is a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to financial operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, allowing you to hone specific FP&A skills and shape your career path in a direction that genuinely excites you.
- • You will be instrumental in providing leaders with the critical financial insights they need to drive strategic decisions. This involves owning the monthly reporting cycle, including Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, cost center analysis, and variance explanations. Your ability to present this information clearly and concisely will empower decision-makers, enabling them to quickly understand financial performance and identify key trends or deviations.
- • A significant aspect of this role is acting as a dedicated finance partner to various departments, including Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering, and General & Administrative (G&A). You will collaborate closely with team leads to help them understand their budgets, facilitate informed trade-offs, and foster accountability, all while ensuring that financial processes do not impede operational momentum.
- • You will transform raw data into compelling financial narratives. This involves extracting data from our data warehouse, developing robust financial models in spreadsheets (primarily Google Sheets), and translating complex outcomes into clear, actionable insights that answer the crucial questions: "What happened?", "What does it mean?", and "What should we do next?"
- • Beyond reporting, you will actively contribute to shaping the company's financial forecasts. By building sophisticated scenarios and sensitivity analyses, you will inform critical decisions regarding hiring, expenditure, and strategic priorities. Your work will directly feed into our planning cycles, influencing the company's direction for upcoming quarters and beyond.
- • This role also presents an opportunity to elevate the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our Finance department. You will be encouraged to identify and implement process improvements, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance documentation standards. By contributing to the foundational elements of our FP&A function, you will help build a scalable framework that supports PhotoRoom's continued rapid growth.
- • We are looking for an individual who can quickly integrate into our team and contribute meaningfully from the outset. A minimum of one year of professional experience, including internships, is expected. You should possess a foundational understanding of basic analytics, P&L statements, cost drivers, and the logic behind key financial metrics.
- • The ideal candidate is driven by the prospect of working closely with leadership and having a tangible impact. You are motivated by the opportunity to be the second person in a lean FP&A team, where your contributions are visible in executive discussions and where you can exercise genuine ownership.
- • You possess strong analytical skills and a comfort with numerical data, with proficiency in spreadsheet-based analysis. While prior SQL experience is a plus, a strong enthusiasm for learning and applying SQL is highly valued.
- • Rigor and efficiency are key attributes. You have a keen eye for detail, can pressure-test assumptions, and maintain a high standard of accuracy. Simultaneously, you understand the importance of timely delivery, recognizing when a clear and actionable "good" solution is preferable to a delayed "perfect" one.
- • Finally, you are able to work from our Paris office on a hybrid basis, contributing to our collaborative in-office culture.
