- • The Junior/Mid AI Legal Specialist will support EverAI’s compliance team by managing legal workflows related to AI, data protection, and e-commerce regulations, ensuring the company’s AI companionship platform operates safely and ethically under global laws like GDPR.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts (NDAs, licenses), preparing data protection documentation (DPAs, TIAs), conducting product feature reviews for compliance, handling IP issues such as DMCA notices, and tracking evolving legal developments affecting AI systems.
- • EverAI is a fast-growing, fully remote AI company with 50 million users, building the world’s largest AI companionship platform governed by its proprietary ethical AI moderation system, EverGuard, backed by a leadership team with proven success in scaling and exiting tech ventures.
- • The role offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise at the intersection of AI and law, work closely with an experienced Ethics & Compliance Officer, and contribute to shaping responsible AI innovation in a high-impact, mission-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Legal education such as a Masters of Law, Juris Doctor, or recognized legal certification
- • 2–6 years of experience as legal counsel or in a similar role, with at least 2 years focused on contracts and data protection law (including experience with DPAs, TIAs, and vendor contract management)
- • Ability to explain complex legal concepts in clear, plain English
- • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English
- • Comfort reviewing and discussing uncensored AI-generated content, including NSFW material, as part of platform safety and compliance duties
