- • In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the exceptional quality of our Ruby on Rails SaaS platform. - • You will actively participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept to final release. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with designers and developers during design reviews, providing invaluable early feedback on usability, layout, and interaction design. This proactive approach helps catch potential issues before they become costly bugs, ensuring a superior end-product.
- • Conduct comprehensive manual and automated UI/UX testing across both desktop and mobile interfaces of our Ruby on Rails applications. This involves meticulously verifying responsive design implementation, ensuring intuitive user flows, and confirming pixel-perfect rendering across various devices and screen sizes. Your testing will guarantee that the platform is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate.
- • Engage in rigorous exploratory testing to uncover unexpected behaviors and edge cases. Perform thorough regression testing to confirm that new features or bug fixes have not adversely affected existing functionality. Conduct cross-browser testing to validate the application's performance and appearance across different web browsers, ensuring a consistent experience for all users.
- • Your role extends to identifying, documenting, and meticulously tracking defects. This includes providing clear, concise reproduction steps, detailed screenshots, relevant console logs, and session recordings to facilitate efficient and rapid resolution by the development team. Precision in bug reporting is key to our agile development process.
- • Execute performance-focused UX testing, paying close attention to the speed and responsiveness of data loading, the clarity and helpfulness of error handling messages, and the feedback provided to users during periods of slow or failed backend responses. Ensuring a smooth user experience even under challenging network conditions is paramount.
- • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing strategies, tools, and processes. 🎯 Requirements
- • Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university preferred; or equivalent education/experience in the computer science field.
- • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in a SaaS QA role.
- • Fluent ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
- • Solid understanding of UI/UX testing principles and methodologies.
- • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, AWS, and Kubernetes basics.
- • Excellent bug reporting and communication skills, with experience using version control systems like Git or Mercurial and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab Pipelines.
