- • Prepare and submit regulatory reports in compliance with BaFin, Bundesbank, IFR, and IFD requirements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness for all mandated submissions.
- • Act as the primary internal point of contact for all regulatory reporting matters, coordinating with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Data, and Management teams to align reporting outputs with regulatory obligations.
- • Track and interpret evolving regulatory changes (including AWV, DepotStatistik, Bilanzstatistik, Millionenkreditmeldung) and implement updates into reporting processes and documentation.
- • Own and maintain the regulatory reporting calendar, managing deadlines, dependencies, and escalation paths to ensure zero missed submissions.
- • Develop, document, and continuously update standardized work instructions, reporting templates, and process manuals to ensure consistency and audit readiness.
- • Serve as the key liaison for regulators, external auditors, internal audit teams, and supervisory reviews, providing clear documentation and responses to inquiries.
- • Design, improve, and maintain robust data flows between financial systems and reporting platforms to ensure data integrity and scalability as the company grows.
- • Drive process automation initiatives, including the evaluation and implementation of AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort in reporting workflows.
- • Collaborate with Data and Engineering teams to embed regulatory reporting requirements into the company’s financial and data ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration and traceability.
- • Contribute to the definition of best practices in regulatory reporting across the organization, serving as a trusted subject matter expert for junior staff and cross-functional teams.
- • Ensure all reporting activities align with Upvest’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and operational excellence under its regulated fintech status.
- • Participate in internal control assessments and contribute to the strengthening of internal controls related to regulatory reporting and financial data integrity.
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of European financial regulations and industry developments affecting investment firms and capital market reporting.
🎯 Requirements
- • Initial understanding of regulatory reporting processes and obligations (e.g., AWV, DepotStatistik, Bilanzstatistik, Millionenkreditmeldung)
- • Relevant work experience in accounting, audit, or advisory, preferably within a regulated or fast-paced fintech environment
- • Strong communication skills in English, with ability to simplify complex regulatory concepts
- • German language proficiency (spoken and written) to support local compliance and stakeholder communication
- • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and meticulous attention to detail
- • Motivation to continuously deepen expertise in regulatory reporting, internal controls, and financial compliance
