- • As a Junior Software Engineer - Full Stack at Awin Group AG, you will be part of a cross-functional, customer-focused team working on extending and evolving Awin’s platform for publishers and creators. Your role is critical in building scalable services and user-facing applications that directly impact how publishers and creators discover opportunities, grow partnerships, and maximize performance across web and mobile platforms.
- • You will contribute to writing clean, secure, and well-tested code while following engineering best practices, collaborating closely with your team to build and maintain both backend and frontend systems. A key aspect of your role involves active involvement in the primary backend team powering the Awin Mobile App, where you will help build and support new features that directly impact mobile users.
- • Day to day, you will develop and deploy features across the full software lifecycle, from initial design and coding to testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. You will work with Java (v17+) and Spring Boot on the backend, and apply your frontend skills using Angular or similar frameworks to create responsive user interfaces.
- • You will design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring seamless communication between services, and work with relational databases using strong SQL skills, while gaining exposure to NoSQL solutions like DynamoDB.
- • You will collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to translate user needs into technical solutions, participate in agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban), and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions and mentoring opportunities as you grow within the team.
- • You will gain hands-on experience in designing and operating distributed, cloud-native solutions, contributing to both frontend and backend systems in a modern engineering environment that values innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- • The Publisher Tribe in the Growth Domain focuses on enabling publishers and creators within the Awin ecosystem, building scalable services and intuitive experiences that help users discover opportunities, grow partnerships, and maximize performance. The team plays a key role in powering mobile-first experiences, acting as the backend foundation for the Awin Mobile App.
- • You will join a diverse, inclusive, and socially conscious team at Awin, part of the Axel Springer group, where uniqueness and authenticity are championed. The company fosters a dynamic culture through virtual social activities via the 'Life @ Awin' hub, supporting global collaboration and employee wellbeing.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in full-stack development, strengthen your problem-solving abilities, and grow into a more autonomous engineer capable of owning features from concept to production. You will proactively identify risks, contribute to system reliability, and develop leadership potential through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- • You will achieve mastery in modern Java ecosystems, cloud-native architectures, and agile delivery practices, positioning yourself for long-term growth in software engineering within a global tech leader committed to open partner ecosystems and inclusive innovation.
