📋 Description
- • As a Karen Language Interpreter, you will provide real-time video and audio interpretation services between Karen and English speakers, breaking communication barriers in critical sectors such as healthcare, government, law enforcement, and emergency services like 911.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include responding promptly to interpreting sessions, maintaining professionalism and neutrality, accurately rendering meaning without omissions or additions, and using proper pronunciation and cultural sensitivity during high-stress or emotionally charged calls.
- • You will work remotely from a dedicated home office, utilizing company-supported technology and participating in ongoing training to ensure compliance with industry standards in a certified ASTM and ISO environment.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in Karen and English with strong cultural competency and ability to assess regional and accent differences.
- • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to ensure high accuracy during interpretation.
- • Ability to remain neutral, objective, and detached during sensitive conversations, including those involving end-of-life discussions, medical procedures, or emergency situations.
- • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in teaching, translation, interpretation, or language assessment is preferred.
- • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- • Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check and/or drug screen if required by location.
