  • • Lead the strategic management and development of key air supplier accounts in the US market to expand Despegar’s air inventory and market presence.
  • • Serve as the primary strategic interface between global air suppliers and Despegar’s regional management team, ensuring alignment on commercial objectives and operational execution.
  • • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities with airlines, consolidators, and air distribution partners to enhance product offerings for the US customer base.
  • • Negotiate competitive commercial terms, including rates, commissions, inventory allocation, and service-level agreements, to maximize profitability and market competitiveness.
  • • Centralize and analyze market intelligence, supplier performance data, and competitive landscape insights to inform strategic decision-making and account planning.
  • • Drive the development and implementation of tailored account strategies that exceed performance expectations and deliver measurable growth in air bookings from the US market.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, finance, technology, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of new air inventory into Despegar’s platform and customer experience.
  • • Monitor and report on key performance indicators for air supplier partnerships, including volume growth, revenue contribution, and contract compliance.
  • • Proactively anticipate market shifts and supplier dynamics to adjust strategies in real time, maintaining Despegar’s position as Latin America’s leading travel platform.
  • • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and accountability, taking full ownership of account outcomes and driving results without relying on external direction.
  • • Reject mediocrity; consistently challenge internal and external stakeholders to exceed baseline expectations and pursue excellence in every interaction and outcome.
  • • Foster strong, trust-based relationships with key airline and distribution partners through transparent communication, reliability, and a results-driven approach.
  • • Leverage data and market insights to recommend product enhancements, pricing strategies, and inventory optimizations that align with US traveler demand patterns.
  • • Represent Despegar at industry events, supplier meetings, and negotiation forums to strengthen brand presence and secure strategic advantages in the air travel segment.
  • • Ensure all commercial agreements and partnerships comply with internal policies, legal standards, and regional regulatory requirements.
  • • Continuously seek to improve processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms to increase efficiency and scalability in air sourcing operations.
  • • Act as a change agent within the organization, promoting a culture of innovation, accountability, and relentless pursuit of growth.
