- • The Knowledge Systems Architect designs the infrastructure that makes AI adoption compound rather than stall by ensuring knowledge artifacts are structured, attributed, current, and verifiable, enabling trustworthy AI-driven workflows across R&D.
- • Day to day, the role involves owning Confluence and Glean as primary business administrator, defining governance frameworks and lifecycle rules, designing AI-assisted documentation pipelines, building knowledge observability metrics, and driving the shift from service-oriented to enablement-oriented documentation practices.
- • The role sits within the R&D Intelligence, Systems and Enablement (RISE) team, working directly with the VP of RISE alongside Engineering, Product, and IO to transform Upside’s knowledge infrastructure into a competitive advantage.
- • The person will learn to architect scalable knowledge systems, implement AI governance at scale, measure content health through analytics, and lead organizational change toward self-sustaining documentation practices in a high-visibility, high-leverage position.
🎯 Requirements
- • Deep experience in knowledge management, information architecture, or technical writing with a strong systems orientation
- • Demonstrated ability to design and implement governance frameworks, not just follow them
- • Hands-on experience with Confluence and/or Glean (or equivalent enterprise knowledge and search platforms)
- • Comfort working across data, analytics, and tooling to instrument and measure knowledge health
- • Strong written communication; you may not write the content but you'll define what good looks like
- • Experience with AI-assisted documentation workflows or LLM-based content tooling
