- • The L5 Senior Security Operations Centre Specialist role at Deliveroo Holdings plc is critical to safeguarding the global digital infrastructure of DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt, ensuring secure innovation at speed by defending against cyber threats and embedding security into business operations.
- • Day to day, the role involves working in a 24/7 global SOC with scheduled night and weekend shifts, leading triage and investigation of security alerts (phishing, malware, network attacks), mentoring SOC Specialists, developing and improving operational documentation and playbooks, building AI-driven autonomous runbooks for alert triage automation, leading incident response and escalation, supporting threat-detection use-case design in cloud environments, feeding threat intelligence into risk frameworks, collaborating on wider investigations with Threat Intelligence and DFIR teams, staying current with security research, leveraging metrics and KPIs for strategic optimisation, and contributing to cybersecurity awareness programs.
- • The role sits within Deliveroo’s Information Security team, which acts as digital guardians for global brands, protecting systems and data of employees, customers, riders, and partners by defending against emerging threats and enabling secure innovation across a multinational footprint.
- • In this role, the individual will develop leadership and technical expertise in cloud security, AI-driven automation, incident response, and threat detection, while mentoring teams, shaping global SOC strategy, and advancing their ability to drive continuous security improvements in a high-impact, fast-moving environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6–8 years of experience in SOC with proven success in managing security incidents, delivering platform optimisations, and acting as a technical mentor and lead for shift operations
- • Hands-on experience with AWS security config, SOAR, GSO, EDR/XDR, Splunk, and SQL queries
- • Proven experience building threat detection capabilities in a cloud-centric, fast-moving organisation
- • Working knowledge of security compliance standards including ISO27001, GDPR, NIS2, and PCI-DSS
- • Exceptional collaborative team player with a knowledge-sharing mindset and ability to communicate effectively during incidents to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- • Capable of working independently and collaboratively under pressure during high-impact incidents
