  • • SOLV Energy is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Labor Compliance Specialist to join our fully remote team. This pivotal role will provide comprehensive compliance support for projects that fall under prevailing wage requirements and other specific labor regulations, ensuring SOLV Energy upholds the highest standards of legal and contractual adherence nationwide.
  • • As the Labor Compliance Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for labor compliance matters company-wide. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of critical functions, from initial contract review to ongoing monitoring and reporting, ensuring that all projects meet or exceed regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • • A key aspect of your role will involve meticulously reviewing all public contracts, and any private contracts with special labor requirements. This includes understanding and implementing stipulations related to certified payroll, skilled labor utilization, local hire initiatives, diversity goals, and other pertinent labor-related mandates.
  • • You will collaborate closely with project teams and relevant internal departments to develop and execute robust plans for monitoring, reporting, and ensuring the timely and accurate submission of all required documentation to relevant agencies.
  • • Proactive compliance will be a cornerstone of your work. You will conduct periodic audits across various projects to verify adherence to labor laws and contract terms, identifying any potential discrepancies or areas of concern before they escalate.
  • • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive risk assessment for the Compliance Programs will be essential. This involves identifying potential compliance risks and developing mitigation strategies to safeguard the company.
  • • Staying informed is crucial. You will continuously monitor and stay abreast of all applicable laws and regulations that could impact SOLV Energy’s policies and procedures, ensuring our practices remain current and compliant.
  • • You will play an active role in third-party and government reviews, audits, and inquiries. This requires working in close conjunction with appropriate departments and the Director of Compliance to provide necessary information and support.
  • • Ensuring the consistent compliance of organizational policies and procedures across all levels of the company will be a core responsibility, fostering a culture of compliance.
  • • Building and maintaining strong, healthy relationships with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and regulatory bodies is vital for effective collaboration and successful project execution.
  • • You will be instrumental in developing and delivering labor compliance training classes and seminars. These sessions will educate stakeholders, program employees, and contractors on relevant regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • • A significant part of your role involves reviewing and verifying payroll records, benefit statements, employer training contributions, and apprenticeship paperwork. This meticulous verification process ensures compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
  • • You will issue requests for missing or revised documentation and maintain correspondence with contractor staff to ensure timely and complete submissions.
  • • Proficiency in using compliance monitoring software, such as LCP Tracker, will be essential for reviewing and approving certified payroll and other payroll-related documents.
  • • You will be responsible for compiling information for any third-party requests for information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • • Composing letters requesting payments and following up with third-party requestors when sending information will also be part of your duties, ensuring smooth administrative processes.
  • • Finally, you will perform other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the broader compliance objectives of SOLV Energy.
