- • Lead the design, development, and delivery of production-grade AI systems that automate insurance workflows including quotations, policy issuance, endorsements, claims, and customer operations.
- • Architect AI orchestration layers that integrate LLMs, backend services, and business workflows to enable reliable, scalable automation across the platform.
- • Own end-to-end AI system design, including inference pipelines, request routing, caching strategies, and fallback mechanisms to ensure high availability and performance.
- • Drive engineering decisions focused on latency, reliability, cost-efficiency, and scalability of AI services operating at scale across global markets.
- • Implement and maintain observability systems including logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting to ensure production AI systems are transparent, debuggable, and resilient.
- • Review and guide backend AI implementations across engineering teams to uphold technical standards and architectural consistency.
- • Collaborate with product, backend, DevOps, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end AI features that directly impact real users and business outcomes.
- • Debug complex production issues across distributed AI systems and lead root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence and improve system stability.
- • Define and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and documentation for AI system development across the organization.
- • Mentor engineers, elevate technical execution quality, and foster a culture of ownership, reliability, and high-performance engineering.
- • Ensure AI capabilities are deeply integrated into global insurance workflows, enabling seamless automation from user interaction to backend processing.
- • Maintain hands-on involvement in writing and reviewing production code while leading technical strategy and system architecture decisions.
- • Operate in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment with teams across multiple countries, delivering high-impact AI systems with minimal latency and maximum reliability.
- • Translate model capabilities into production-grade systems that support rapid iteration without compromising system integrity or user experience.
- • Prioritize practical, real-world impact over theoretical solutions, focusing on systems that are maintainable, observable, and operationally robust.
- • Lead incident response and post-mortems for AI system failures, ensuring continuous improvement in system resilience and team readiness.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong backend or AI engineering experience in production environments
- • Experience building or scaling AI systems (LLMs, embeddings, recommendation systems, or automation workflows)
- • Strong system design skills with experience in distributed systems
- • Experience with production inference pipelines and AI orchestration
- • Strong debugging ability in high-scale, latency-sensitive environments
- • Experience with observability, monitoring, and incident response
