- • Lead the design and development of production-grade AI systems that automate insurance workflows including quotations, policy issuance, endorsements, claims, and customer operations.
- • Architect AI orchestration layers that integrate LLMs, backend services, and business workflows to enable reliable, scalable automation.
- • Own end-to-end AI system design, including inference pipelines, routing logic, caching strategies, and fallback mechanisms for high-availability AI services.
- • Drive engineering decisions focused on latency, reliability, cost-efficiency, and scalability of AI systems deployed across global insurance products.
- • Implement and maintain observability systems including logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting for AI services in production.
- • Review and guide backend AI implementations across engineering teams to ensure alignment with architectural standards and production best practices.
- • Collaborate with product, backend, DevOps, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end AI features from concept to deployment.
- • Debug complex production issues across distributed AI systems and lead root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- • Define and enforce engineering standards, coding practices, and system design principles for AI development across the organization.
- • Mentor engineers and elevate technical execution quality by providing feedback, code reviews, and architectural guidance.
- • Ensure AI systems operate reliably at scale with low latency and high stability across multiple products and regions.
- • Translate AI model capabilities into production-grade systems that are observable, maintainable, and integrated into core insurance workflows.
- • Support rapid iteration of AI features without compromising system reliability or performance.
- • Promote a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and practical decision-making within the global engineering team.
- • Maintain hands-on involvement in writing and reviewing production code while leading technical strategy and execution.
- • Build systems that are resilient under pressure, scalable under load, and designed for long-term maintainability.
- • Work within a globally distributed team across multiple countries to deliver AI-powered solutions used by millions in Southeast Asia and beyond.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong backend or AI engineering experience in production environments
- • Experience building or scaling AI systems (LLMs, embeddings, recommendation systems, or automation workflows)
- • Strong system design skills with experience in distributed systems
- • Experience with production inference pipelines and AI orchestration
- • Strong debugging ability in high-scale, latency-sensitive environments
- • Experience with observability, monitoring, and incident response
