• As the Lead Backend Engineer, you will be the driving force behind our technology. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying the core backend systems that power our user experience and business operations. • Your primary focus will be on building a highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend infrastructure. This involves making critical decisions about technology stacks, database design, API development, and deployment strategies. • You will lead the design and implementation of microservices architecture, ensuring loose coupling, high cohesion, and fault tolerance. This will involve defining clear service boundaries, establishing communication protocols, and implementing robust error handling and monitoring mechanisms. • A significant part of your role will involve developing and maintaining RESTful APIs that are well-documented, secure, and performant. You will implement and enforce robust security measures across the entire backend system, including authentication, authorization, data encryption, and protection against common web vulnerabilities. • You will establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. This will enable faster release cycles, reduce manual errors, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality code. You will champion DevOps practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• As a lead, you will mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. • You will collaborate closely with product management, design, and other engineering teams to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure alignment on product roadmaps. • You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. • You will proactively identify and address technical debt, ensuring the long-term health and maintainability of the codebase. This involves refactoring code, optimizing performance, and implementing best practices to prevent future issues.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lead Backend Engineer or in a similar senior technical leadership role, with a strong track record of designing and building scalable SaaS platforms.
• Expertise in at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go, Java) and associated frameworks.
• Deep understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of API design principles (RESTful), microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and lead technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
