  • • As the Lead, Brand Voice & Storytelling at Jerry Technologies Inc., you will be the architect of the company’s emotional connection with over 5 million customers, transforming transactional messaging into meaningful, human-centered communication that builds trust, loyalty, and long-term engagement in a category where car ownership is often seen as a stressful necessity rather than an empowering experience.
  • • You will own the end-to-end evolution of Jerry’s brand voice — from auditing and overhauling existing CRM, email, SMS, and in-app copy to designing bold, native-channel campaigns (like a $150K car giveaway on DriveShield) and shaping positioning for new products such as GarageGuard, ensuring every touchpoint reflects empathy, authenticity, and strategic intent.
  • • You will partner closely with Product, Design, Growth, and Customer Insights teams to translate qualitative user pain points and behavioral data into resonant narratives that drive not just clicks, but emotional resonance and retention — turning functional interactions into relationship-building moments.
  • • You will operate as an individual contributor with significant scope and impact, writing email sequences, drafting in-app tooltips, engaging with Reddit communities, and leading organic GTM launches — all while building the foundational brand playbook from scratch in collaboration with the CEO, with no inherited frameworks to constrain your creativity.
  • • You will champion the value of brand experience in a data-first culture, advocating for the unmeasurable yet critical impact of tone, emotion, and storytelling on customer lifetime word-of-mouth, and helping Jerry evolve from a product people like to a brand they trust and feel proud to use.
  • • You will develop deep expertise in navigating niche online communities (especially Reddit) to understand authentic customer language and sentiment, then apply those insights to craft copy that feels native, not promotional — turning community engagement into a scalable growth lever.
  • • You will mentor and eventually build a small team around organic social and community strategy, establishing best practices for voice consistency across platforms while fostering a culture of experimentation, empathy, and creative courage within the marketing organization.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of professional experience in copywriting, audience development, or product marketing with a demonstrated focus on brand voice, activation, and retention strategies in B2C environments.
  • • Proven success creating and executing native-channel campaigns on platforms like Reddit, Twitter/X, or TikTok, with measurable impact on engagement, sentiment, or conversion.
  • • A strong portfolio showcasing the ability to transform complex, technical, or emotionally charged topics (e.g., insurance, loans, repairs) into clear, empathetic, and compelling copy that drives action and connection.
  • • Experience working in a high-growth, venture-backed startup environment where ambiguity is common and rapid iteration is expected.
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
