- • As a Lead Data Analyst on Brigit's Payments Platform, you will sit at the intersection of payments, membership, and credit teams to optimize the balance between transaction costs and success rates, directly impacting company profitability.
- • Day to day, you will analyze payment failure patterns, evaluate routing and collection strategies, build alerting systems for anomalies, collaborate with Data Science on model evaluation, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for product, finance, and leadership.
- • You will be part of the Data & Analytics team, embedded in Team Money—a cross-functional payments platform team—working alongside Engineering, Product, and Operations to drive smarter payment decisions.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in payments analytics, influence high-impact financial product decisions, and grow your leadership in a fast-paced, mission-driven fintech environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in payments analytics, payment operations, or a closely related role in fintech, banking, or financial services
- • Advanced SQL — ability to write complex queries from scratch and maintain data models
- • Strong working knowledge of ACH, card networks, and payment processing mechanics including return codes, retry logic, and settlement timing
- • Experience partnering with or supporting Data Science teams — ability to evaluate model outputs, understand limitations, and translate into business decisions
- • Sharp investigative instincts — ability to spot anomalies, form hypotheses, and drive resolution through data
- • Familiarity with NACHA return rate requirements, AML, or other fintech compliance standards is a plus
