- • As a Lead Data Scientist at MD Aware, LLC (MDCalc), you will play a central role in shaping how data drives product innovation, informs business decisions, and improves clinical outcomes for a platform used by over 65% of physicians worldwide. Your work will directly influence how millions of medical professionals access evidence-based clinical decision tools across 50+ specialties and 200+ patient conditions, making a tangible impact on global healthcare delivery.
- • You will define and lead analytical projects that shape product direction and business strategy, develop predictive models to understand clinician engagement and usage patterns, analyze complex healthcare datasets to uncover actionable insights, and design scalable data pipelines and dashboards that support MDCalc’s growth. You will partner with product, engineering, and clinical teams to translate data into product requirements, establish rigorous experimentation frameworks including A/B testing, ensure data integrity and reproducibility, and communicate findings clearly to leadership to drive strategic decisions.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
- • 10+ years of experience in applied data science, statistical modeling, or predictive analytics, preferably with healthcare, clinical, or provider behavior datasets
- • Proficiency in Python or R and associated libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, NumPy), strong SQL skills, and experience building production-grade predictive or statistical models
