Lead Designer - Digital UI UX (Subscription)

📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end user experience for Universal Audio’s subscription-based digital SaaS products, translating complex audio workflows into elegant, conversion-focused interfaces that delight musicians, producers, and engineers worldwide.
• • Lead the creation of intuitive onboarding funnels that guide new users from trial sign-up to first “aha” moment within minutes, using data-backed design decisions to lift trial-to-paid conversion and reduce early churn.
• • Craft high-fidelity UI mock-ups, interactive prototypes, and micro-interaction specs for dashboards, plugin stores, preset browsers, and collaborative project spaces—ensuring every pixel reinforces brand trust and premium quality.
• • Establish and evangelize a scalable design system (components, tokens, patterns) that accelerates feature delivery, maintains consistency across web, desktop, and mobile surfaces, and meets WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
• • Partner daily with Product Managers to translate business goals and user research into prioritized problem statements, then validate solutions through rapid A/B and multivariate tests that move core KPIs: activation rate, monthly active users, average revenue per user, and lifetime value.
• • Collaborate tightly with Engineering during sprint planning, design QA, and post-launch reviews to guarantee feasibility, performance, and pixel-perfect implementation across React, Electron, and native stacks.
• • Work side-by-side with Analytics, Growth, and Content teams to map the full customer journey, identify friction points, and design targeted interventions—such as contextual tooltips, progress badges, or personalized upsell prompts—that increase engagement and reduce subscription cancellations.
• • Mentor and up-level a distributed team of UI/UX designers through design critiques, pair-design sessions, and career roadmaps, fostering a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and user advocacy.
• • Present strategic design vision and quarterly OKR progress to executive leadership, using storytelling and data to secure buy-in for bold, user-centric initiatives.
• • Champion accessibility, inclusive design, and ethical data use, ensuring Universal Audio remains the most trusted creative platform in the audio industry.
