📋 Description

• • Lead Engineer for College Board’s BigFuture Student team, responsible for shaping the technical direction and delivering scalable, secure, and reusable software that empowers over 7 million students annually with college, scholarship, and career exploration tools.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and developing full-stack solutions (60%), leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies and mentoring peers (30%), and staying current with Generative AI advancements while sharing knowledge across the team (10%).
• • The BigFuture Student team builds and maintains core products like BigFuture School mobile app and bigfuture.org, including College Search, Scholarship Search, Career Search, dashboards, and community features, operating in an agile, collaborative environment focused on clean, sustainable solutions that scale to serve millions while reducing technical debt.
• • In this role, you will own end-to-end technical leadership—from prototyping and requirements definition to deployment and support—while mentoring teammates, influencing technical decisions, exploring emerging technologies like AI, and growing into a trusted technical leader whose work directly impacts students’ educational and career trajectories nationwide.
