📋 Description

• As a Lead - Forward Deployed Engineer at Realfast LLC, you will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of high-complexity client projects, driving delivery excellence and engineering innovation in an AI-powered IT services environment where speed from contract to working software is the core metric.
• You will partner with AI Transformation Leads to design and deliver solutions that achieve tangible client business outcomes, working directly with customers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into production-ready software.
• You will lead and elevate a team of Forward Deployed Engineers by setting standards for engineering best practices, mentoring engineers, unblocking challenges, and fostering a culture of first-principles thinking and technical craftsmanship.
• You will improve code architecture with a focus on testability and maintainability, deconstruct complex engineering problems, and make smart trade-offs between code quality and delivery speed, biasing toward shipping value quickly.
• You will build AI-powered solutions including developing, fine-tuning, and integrating LLMs to enhance products and automate tasks, while feeding learnings from client engagements back into the platform (Exo) to shape its evolution.
• You will help grow the team by identifying and mentoring high-calibre engineers, contributing to talent acquisition, and ensuring the team continuously raises the bar on predictability, quality, and throughput.
• Realfast LLC is India’s first post-AI IT services company, founded by the team that scaled Gojek and backed by Peak XV Partners and RTP Global, operating with a mission to compress traditional discovery and delivery timelines from months to days through its proprietary Exo platform and Real Agile methodology.

• In this role, you will develop deep expertise in leading high-stakes client engagements, mastering the integration of AI into production systems, and shaping internal platform evolution — positioning you as a technical leader who bridges engineering excellence with real-world business impact.
• You will achieve mastery in full-stack engineering across front-end, back-end, data pipelines, and AI models, while cultivating leadership skills in mentoring, strategic prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration in a high-growth, venture-backed startup environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 7–10 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record in a lead or senior technical role
• Deep expertise in object-oriented languages (e.g., Ruby, Python) and strong proficiency across multiple programming languages and paradigms
• Hands-on experience across the full stack — front-end, back-end, data pipelines, and AI models — with a comprehensive understanding of engineering systems and architecture
• Experience building applications from scratch, solving 0-to-1 problems, identifying Product-Market Fit, and iterating with users to deliver solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills, leadership qualities (integrity, compassionate collaboration, preparedness), and experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team growth
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences, with comfort operating in dynamic, ambiguous environments without detailed specs or extensive guidance
