📋 Description
- • Lead Internal Auditor responsible for leading operational and assurance audit projects, ensuring audits stay focused on highest risks and driving performance improvements.
- • Day-to-day activities include leading moderately complex audit projects, managing timelines, evaluating internal controls, assigning and reviewing team work, documenting audit issues, developing action plans with business partners, training and coaching audit staff, and participating in corporate-level special audits and investigations.
- • EMC Insurance Companies is a collaborative, caring organization focused on making an impact, supporting employee growth, and improving lives through teamwork and expertise in the insurance industry.
- • In this role, you will develop leadership and technical audit expertise, gain deep experience in property and casualty or life insurance operations, enhance communication and coaching skills, and contribute to proactive risk identification and system improvements.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, insurance, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- • Five years of experience in public accounting or internal audit, or related experience
- • Audit-related certification such as CIA, CISA, or CPA
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- • Strong knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
- • Experience in property and casualty insurance or life insurance accounting, claims, and/or underwriting preferred
