- • Lead the end-to-end development, architecture, and long-term scalability of Reflow’s macOS application, which is central to the platform’s data capture, coaching delivery, and insights generation.
- • Own the quality bar for the Mac app by profiling, debugging, and optimizing performance, speed, and stability across diverse user environments.
- • Ensure seamless compatibility and functionality in managed enterprise environments, including MDM-configured devices and restricted system setups.
- • Collaborate closely with backend and data engineering teams to integrate APIs, maintain reliable data flows, and improve system-wide reliability.
- • Mentor and guide junior and peer developers, elevating team-wide engineering standards and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- • Build and maintain the app to handle complex edge cases including sandboxing, permission handling, entitlements, and enterprise deployment constraints.
- • Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing practices, and deployment workflows to ensure smooth, reliable updates and builds.
- • Design and implement features using Swift and Apple’s native frameworks with a focus on performance, security, and user experience.
- • Prioritize polish and attention to detail, identifying and resolving inconsistencies that impact usability or perceived quality.
- • Explore and implement SwiftUI and Catalyst for cross-platform functionality where applicable to enhance efficiency and consistency across devices.
- • Actively participate in shaping the product roadmap and engineering culture as a key contributor working directly with the founders.
- • Maintain deep awareness of macOS system behaviors, security models, and Apple’s evolving developer guidelines to ensure compliance and longevity of the app.
- • Proactively identify technical debt and propose scalable solutions to support future growth of the platform’s core functionality.
- • Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to ensure team-wide understanding of the Mac app’s architecture and best practices.
🎯 Requirements
- • Expert proficiency in Swift and macOS app development with deep knowledge of Apple frameworks, security models, and system design principles.
- • Proven experience in profiling, debugging, and optimizing macOS applications for performance and stability across varied environments.
- • Hands-on experience working with managed device environments (MDM), including understanding sandboxing, permissions, and enterprise deployment constraints.
- • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with backend and data teams to integrate APIs and maintain reliable system interfaces.
- • Strong attention to detail with a track record of delivering polished, high-quality user experiences.
- • Experience with SwiftUI and Catalyst for cross-platform development is a strong plus.
