- • TerrAscend is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Lead, Performance and Rewards Program Analyst to join our dynamic HR team. This pivotal role is instrumental in shaping and executing our performance management and compensation strategies, ensuring they are both competitive and equitable across the organization. As a senior individual contributor, you will report directly to the Manager, Performance and Reward Programs, leveraging your expertise to drive the continuous improvement of our people programs.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to provide deep analytical insights and operational leadership throughout the entire lifecycle of our performance and reward programs. This includes the annual performance review process, salary adjustments, bonus payouts, equity awards, and other incentive programs. You will be the go-to expert for data-driven recommendations that align with our overall total rewards philosophy and business objectives.
- • A significant part of your role will involve partnering closely with various internal stakeholders. You will collaborate extensively with HR Business Partners to ensure program understanding and effective implementation at the team level. You will also work hand-in-hand with the HRIS team to ensure data integrity, system configuration, and the seamless flow of information necessary for accurate program administration. Furthermore, close coordination with the Finance department will be crucial for budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring the financial soundness of our reward initiatives.
- • You will be tasked with translating our total rewards strategy into tangible, executable programs. This means not only understanding the strategic intent but also operationalizing it through clear processes, robust data analysis, and effective communication materials. Your work will directly impact how employees are recognized, rewarded, and motivated, contributing to a culture of high performance and engagement.
- • Key responsibilities include conducting market research and benchmarking to ensure our compensation and reward programs remain competitive within the cannabis industry and the broader labor market. You will analyze compensation data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for adjustments to salary ranges, incentive plans, and other reward elements to attract and retain top talent.
- • You will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and administration of our annual performance management cycle. This involves supporting the development of performance metrics, facilitating calibration sessions, and ensuring fair and consistent evaluation processes. Your analytical skills will be vital in identifying high performers, potential development areas, and ensuring that performance outcomes are linked to rewards.
- • The role also encompasses the administration and communication of various reward programs, including annual merit increases, short-term and long-term incentive plans, and potentially equity programs. You will manage the data inputs, process calculations, and ensure timely and accurate payouts, working closely with payroll and finance.
- • Developing and maintaining clear, concise, and accurate documentation for all performance and reward programs will be essential. This includes policy documents, process guides, and frequently asked questions (FAQs) to ensure clarity and consistency.
- • You will be responsible for creating insightful reports and dashboards for HR leadership and business leaders, providing visibility into key metrics such as compensation ratios, performance distribution, program costs, and ROI. These insights will inform strategic decision-making and drive program enhancements.
- • A crucial aspect of this role is manager enablement. You will develop training materials and resources to help managers understand and effectively administer performance and reward programs, empowering them to have meaningful conversations with their teams about performance and compensation.
- • You will also be involved in ad-hoc projects related to compensation and rewards, such as job leveling, salary structure reviews, and the development of new incentive programs to support evolving business needs.
- • Ultimately, your contributions will ensure that TerrAscend’s performance and reward programs are perceived as fair, equitable, and motivating, fostering a culture where employees feel valued and are driven to achieve exceptional results. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the employee experience and the overall success of TerrAscend as we continue to grow and innovate in the cannabis industry.
