📋 Description

• Lead Revenue Recognition Accountant role at New Relic, a global observability platform company, where you will ensure accurate financial reporting and support revenue processes in a fully remote capacity.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the revenue-related month-end close, reviewing customer contracts for ASC 606 compliance, preparing and reconciling revenue schedules, driving process improvements in Order-to-Cash, and acting as a subject matter expert for special projects and senior management decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid background in accounting with experience in Big 4 audit/advisory and US public company environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 framework within a SOX-controlled setting.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote role.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex accounting conclusions to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Bonus: Experience with SaaS or consumption-based revenue models.
• Bonus: Familiarity with NetSuite, Zuora, or Salesforce CPQ systems.
