• Are you a visionary leader with a passion for transforming businesses through the power of data and artificial intelligence? Rackspace Technology is seeking an exceptional Lead Solution Architect, Analytics & AI/ML to spearhead the design and sales of two of the most critical and rapidly evolving solution portfolios in today's market: Generative AI/LLM solutions and Data Modernization/Lakehouse architectures, both primarily on AWS.
• This is a high-impact, presales role where you will be at the forefront of innovation, engaging with C-level executives and driving strategic initiatives that redefine how enterprises leverage their data assets. You will own the entire customer lifecycle, from initial opportunity creation and executive engagement to the successful design and articulation of complex, cutting-edge solutions.
• Your expertise will be crucial in two distinct yet interconnected domains. Firstly, you will master the application of Generative AI capabilities, including but not limited to Amazon Q, Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon QuickSight. Your role will be to translate these advanced technologies into tangible business value, facilitating executive-level conversations, identifying new opportunities, and shaping the future of AI adoption within our clients' organizations.
• Secondly, you will be instrumental in delivering enterprise data modernization through robust Lakehouse architectures. This involves architecting and selling solutions that leverage AWS native services such as AWS Glue and Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio, alongside leading platforms like Databricks on AWS and Snowflake on AWS. You will guide customers through the complexities of data migration, integration, and governance, ensuring they build scalable, efficient, and future-proof data foundations.
• This role demands a unique blend of deep technical acumen, exceptional business understanding, and commanding executive presence. You must be adept at both articulating a compelling vision for generative AI transformation and demonstrating the practical, deliverable reality of enterprise data modernization.
• As a Lead Solution Architect, you will be responsible for understanding customer business challenges and translating them into innovative, data-driven solutions. This includes conducting discovery sessions, performing technical assessments, developing architectural designs, creating compelling proposals, and presenting solutions to senior leadership.
• You will collaborate closely with sales teams, account managers, and delivery teams to ensure seamless handoffs and successful project execution. Your ability to build strong relationships with clients, understand their strategic objectives, and act as a trusted advisor will be paramount to your success.
• The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in presales, solution architecture, and a deep understanding of cloud-native data platforms and AI/ML technologies, with a strong emphasis on the AWS ecosystem.
• You will be expected to stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AI/ML, Generative AI, data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud computing, continuously refining your expertise and bringing innovative ideas to Rackspace Technology and its clients.

• Key responsibilities will include leading the technical sales process for Analytics, AI/ML, and Data Modernization solutions; developing and presenting high-level solution designs; identifying and qualifying opportunities; building trusted advisor relationships with clients; and contributing to the overall strategy and growth of Rackspace Technology's Analytics & AI/ML practice.
• You will also be involved in developing reusable intellectual property, contributing to best practices, and mentoring junior architects. Your ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences will be essential.
• Travel is expected up to 25% for customer site visits and AWS events, ensuring you are at the heart of client engagements and industry developments. If located near a Rackspace office, a hybrid work schedule of two days in the office and three days remote will apply. For those not near an office, 100% remote work is an option, offering flexibility to talent across the United States.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in a presales or solution architecture role, with a strong focus on data analytics, AI/ML, and cloud technologies, specifically within the AWS ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI/LLM concepts and technologies (e.g., Amazon Q, Amazon Bedrock, LLM frameworks) and experience in architecting and selling AI-driven solutions.
• Expertise in data modernization strategies, including data lakes, lakehouses, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes, with hands-on experience with AWS native services (e.g., Glue, SageMaker) and/or leading platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake).
• Exceptional ability to engage with C-level executives, understand business requirements, and translate them into compelling technical solutions and strategic roadmaps.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
