- • Lead/Staff AI Acceleration Engineer at Dave Inc., a financial app dedicated to leveling the financial playing field by providing affordable, transparent access to liquidity for underserved Americans through products like ExtraCash and upcoming BNPL offerings.
- • You will shape the systems that power AI agents across the company, building the AI Agent Factory—shared patterns, templates, and infrastructure that enable teams to create, connect to data, and safely deploy reliable AI-driven workflows, starting with analytics automation for insight generation and anomaly detection.
- • You’ll partner with Data Engineering to connect LLMs to structured data safely, integrate with the semantic layer for consistent business definitions, and establish evaluation, observability, and guardrail frameworks to ensure agent quality, reduce hallucinations, control costs, and prevent data misuse.
- • This role offers the opportunity to define how AI operates at scale across Dave, enabling teams to move faster with better information while reducing reliance on manual analysis, with clear paths for impact at both Lead (execution-focused) and Staff (architecture and direction-setting) levels.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, ML engineering, AI infrastructure, or platform engineering
- • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications, agents, or tool-use systems in production
- • Experience connecting LLMs to structured data safely via APIs, data access layers, context delivery, and governance
- • Strong software engineering fundamentals including testing, monitoring, and production reliability
- • Experience with modern data and ML tooling such as Python, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Kafka, Kubernetes, or equivalents
- • Experience operating production systems including CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response
