- • Provide legal support for Skelar AS’s corporate structure in Ukraine, including oversight of the SKELAR Foundation charitable projects.
- • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for business operations and infrastructure needs, primarily involving foreign jurisdictions.
- • Conduct KYC (Know Your Customer) due diligence on counterparties across business units.
- • Participate in improving and automating internal legal processes, particularly in contract management and KYC workflows.
- • Deliver training sessions to enhance legal awareness and compliance culture across internal teams.
- • Collaborate with business, finance, audit, accounting, and other internal teams to ensure legal alignment with operational processes.
- • Advise on legal risks, regulatory changes, and emerging issues impacting company operations.
- • Develop and scale dedicated contract and KYC frameworks for individual business units within the Skelar ecosystem.
- • Build automated systems to streamline legal workflows and reduce manual intervention in high-volume processes.
- • Act as a strategic legal partner to founders and business teams, translating legal requirements into business-enabling solutions.
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Ukrainian corporate law, international contract law, and regulatory developments affecting consumer-facing businesses in EdTech, Mental Health, Petcare, and FashionTech.
- • Ensure all legal activities comply with local and international standards while supporting rapid business scaling.
- • Work cross-functionally to embed legal risk management into product development, fundraising, and partnership initiatives.
- • Represent the legal function in internal governance and compliance committees.
- • Support the growth of Skelar’s legal department by identifying gaps, proposing scalable solutions, and mentoring junior staff as the team expands.
- • Maintain accurate legal documentation and records across all active business entities and charitable initiatives.
- • Communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders.
- • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities across multiple concurrent business ventures within the Skelar platform.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience in business legal support, including corporate structuring and contract management
- • Excellent skills in drafting, analyzing, and reviewing contracts, particularly with international jurisdictions
- • Upper-Intermediate English or higher proficiency for contract work and communication
- • High level of autonomy, proactivity, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- • Practical orientation with focus on business-aligned legal solutions
- • Understanding of business processes and ability to identify systemic legal risks
