- • As a Legal Counsel for Southern Europe, with a specific focus on France, you will be instrumental in shaping and safeguarding Dexcom's operations across this vital region. This role serves as the primary legal point of contact for the French commercial team, acting as a strategic business partner to facilitate growth and ensure compliance. You will leverage a unique blend of legal acumen, commercial understanding, and practical judgment to support contract negotiations, business development initiatives, and go-to-market strategies. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting the broader Southern Cluster functions, including Spain and Italy, ensuring a cohesive and legally sound approach across these markets.
- • A core aspect of your role will involve meticulously drafting and reviewing a wide array of commercial agreements. This includes, but is not limited to, contracts with public administrations and health insurance providers, distribution and rebate agreements, master service agreements, project assignments, sponsorship agreements, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and statements of work (SOWs). Ensuring contractual alignment and mitigating risk will be paramount in these endeavors.
- • You will provide expert legal counsel on complex matters pertaining to French and EU healthcare and medical device regulations. This encompasses in-depth knowledge of reimbursement schemes, public procurement law, digital health initiatives, competition law, anti-money laundering regulations, and international trade compliance. Close collaboration with your colleagues in the EMEA Legal team and global specialists will be essential to navigate these intricate legal landscapes.
- • A significant part of your work will involve drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and healthcare organizations (HCOs). This includes public and private health insurers and patient advocacy groups. Your efforts will ensure strict adherence to French and EU rules regarding transparency, fair market value, anti-kickback provisions, anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) requirements, and industry codes of ethics and conduct.
- • You will be responsible for reviewing and approving all advertising, promotional, and educational materials. This critical function ensures that all communications comply with applicable national and EU regulations governing medical device advertising and interactions with patients, HCPs, and HCOs, maintaining Dexcom's reputation and integrity.
- • Cross-functional collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work closely with various EMEA business and support teams, including Compliance, Data Privacy, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Government Affairs, and Tax departments. This ensures a coordinated, compliant, and efficient execution of business objectives across the organization.
- • You will actively contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies, playbooks, templates, and comprehensive training programs. These initiatives are designed to enhance legal and compliance awareness throughout the organization, fostering a culture of ethical conduct and risk mitigation.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of life-changing continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology, contributing directly to Dexcom's mission of improving human health. You will be part of a dynamic and innovative global organization committed to its employees, customers, and the communities it serves, with ample opportunities for professional growth on a global scale.
