- • Translate content between English and Assamese while preserving cultural nuance, clarity, and contextual relevance across digital platforms.
- • Edit and refine translated language content for accuracy, tone, and stylistic consistency in alignment with current language standards and usage trends.
- • Apply best practices in translation and localization to ensure high-quality deliverables for digital tools, applications, and enterprise-level content.
- • Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve the performance and accuracy of AI language models through human-verified annotations.
- • Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content specifically for Assamese-speaking markets, ensuring linguistic and cultural appropriateness.
- • Support end-to-end content development and quality assurance processes for multilingual digital products and services.
- • Perform transcreation when required, creatively adapting source text beyond literal translation to ensure natural, idiomatic, and culturally resonant output in Assamese.
- • Maintain consistency in terminology, style, and voice across diverse domains including Life Sciences, IT, Marketing, Legal, and Finance.
- • Deliver all work with precision and attention to detail, meeting deadlines and quality benchmarks set by project requirements.
- • Work independently as an independent contractor with autonomy over schedule and workload, while maintaining reliable availability and commitment to assigned tasks.
- • Accept and complete translation tasks requiring a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week, ensuring consistent responsiveness and on-time delivery.
- • Contribute to a global community of linguists and language professionals advancing AI-driven communication technologies.
- • Engage with diverse, innovative projects that expand professional expertise across industries and subject areas.
- • Operate in a remote, flexible environment with no fixed hours or micromanagement, prioritizing quality over quantity in all deliverables.
🎯 Requirements
- • Native-level proficiency in Assamese
- • ISO 17100 Certification Criteria: Either a recognized graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies; OR a recognized graduate qualification in any other field plus two years of full-time professional translation experience; OR five years of full-time professional translation experience
- • Reliable internet access and ability to work independently as an independent contractor
- • Commitment to deliver a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week on assigned tasks
- • Ability to pass a domain-specific translation test if required
- • Willingness to comply with geographic restrictions (no contractors from sanctioned regions)
