- • Translate content accurately between English and your native Gujarati language while preserving cultural nuance, tone, and contextual relevance across digital platforms.
- • Edit and refine translated content to ensure linguistic precision, readability, and adherence to current language standards and usage trends.
- • Apply best practices in localization to adapt digital content for Gujarati-speaking markets, including websites, apps, marketing materials, and technical documentation.
- • Perform transcreation when required, creatively adapting source text to resonate naturally in Gujarati rather than providing literal translations.
- • Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve the quality of language models used in AI-driven translation systems.
- • Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to support content development, quality assurance, and localization efforts for digital tools and applications.
- • Work independently on project-based translation tasks with flexible scheduling, choosing when and how much to work within your availability.
- • Ensure timely delivery of all assignments, adhering to agreed-upon deadlines and quality expectations for each task.
- • Maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency across all deliverables, regardless of domain—whether in Life Sciences, IT, Marketing, Legal, or Finance.
- • Contribute to a global community of linguists and language professionals advancing human-machine communication through AI-enhanced translation technologies.

- • Operate as an independent contractor (1099), responsible for your own tax obligations and without eligibility for company-provided benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement contributions.
- • Contribute to mission-driven work that makes global information accessible across languages, supporting Lilt’s goal of breaking down linguistic barriers through technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • Native-level proficiency in Gujarati
- • ISO 17100 Certification Criteria: either a recognized graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies; OR a recognized graduate qualification in any other field plus two years of full-time professional translation experience; OR five years of full-time professional translation experience
- • Reliable daily availability of at least 2 hours or 10 hours per week to meet project demand
- • Ability to work independently as a contractor with accountability for on-time, high-quality delivery
- • Access to a stable internet connection and suitable digital tools to complete translation tasks
- • Willingness to comply with geographic restrictions (no contractors in embargoed or sanctioned regions)
