📋 Description

• Join a mission-driven plaintiff litigation firm at Latitude Inc., where you will play a pivotal role in advocating for survivors of sexual abuse. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful justice by supporting complex civil cases against individuals, corporations, and institutions.
• As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be instrumental in managing case files from inception through resolution, ensuring meticulous organization and timely execution of all procedural requirements.
• You will work closely with attorneys to prepare for depositions, hearings, trials, and mediations, including drafting discovery requests and responses, organizing exhibits, and preparing witness binders.
• Your responsibilities will include conducting legal research using various databases and resources to support case strategy and legal arguments.
• You will be responsible for maintaining and organizing all case-related documents, evidence, and correspondence, ensuring a comprehensive and accessible filing system.
• A key aspect of this role involves communicating with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel, requiring a high degree of professionalism, empathy, and clarity.
• You will assist in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and settlement agreements under attorney supervision.
• The role demands proactive case management, including tracking deadlines, calendaring court dates, and managing discovery timelines to ensure compliance with all procedural rules.
• You will be involved in the pre-litigation phase, assisting with client intake, initial investigation, and evidence gathering.
• For trial preparation, you will manage exhibit lists, create trial notebooks, coordinate witness schedules, and assist attorneys in the courtroom as needed.
• Post-trial responsibilities may include assisting with post-judgment collection efforts and final case closure procedures.
• This hybrid remote position offers the flexibility of working 3 days per week remotely, allowing for a better work-life balance while maintaining strong team collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a strong preference for experience in plaintiff-side litigation, particularly in areas such as sexual abuse, personal injury, civil rights, or complex torts.
• Proficiency in legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with clients, witnesses, and legal professionals.
• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
• Familiarity with state and federal court rules and procedures, including e-filing.
