  • • Lead live broadcast production for over 50,000 annual sporting events including wrestling, grappling, track & field, cheerleading, marching band, football, basketball, softball, and baseball across the United States and internationally.
  • • Travel up to 80% of the time to remote event locations to set up, manage, and execute live streaming productions in field environments.
  • • Develop and maintain detailed rundowns, tech books, and production documentation for each event, ensuring seamless execution from pre-production through post-event review.
  • • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of live production including camera operation, audio, lighting, graphics, scoring systems, and talent coordination with on-air commentators and directors.
  • • Manage and deploy production equipment inventory, performing thorough checks before and after each event to ensure all gear is accounted for and in working condition.
  • • Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time during live broadcasts using software tools such as OBS, vMix, and Blackmagic ATEM, and escalate critical problems as needed.
  • • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to align broadcast needs, schedules, and technical requirements for multi-event productions.
  • • Lead and mentor production crew members including event directors, operators, editors, and graphics designers, adapting roles dynamically based on live event demands.
  • • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, athletes, event organizers, and crew to ensure smooth operations and high-quality broadcast delivery.
  • • Identify and implement best practices for live production workflows, contributing to continuous improvement in broadcast quality and operational efficiency.
  • • Communicate effectively with on-air talent before and during broadcasts to enhance storytelling, maintain relevance, and adapt to unfolding live events.
  • • Utilize Google Sheets and Excel for production scheduling, data integration, and tracking event timelines and deliverables.
  • • Operate prosumer-level cameras including Panasonic CX350/CX10, Marshall POV cameras, and Panasonic PTZ models, and manage fiber optic cabling and connectivity setups.
  • • Participate in post-event reviews to analyze performance, document lessons learned, and recommend enhancements for future broadcasts.
  • • Maintain ownership of production quality standards and proactively drive innovations in live streaming techniques and equipment usage.
  • • Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate event schedules across multiple time zones and sports calendars.
  • • Contribute to company-wide initiatives including hack-a-thons, team-building events, and annual all-hands gatherings in Austin, Texas.

  • • Proven experience producing live events in a streaming or broadcast environment
  • • Familiarity with OBS, vMix, and Blackmagic ATEM software for live production
  • • Experience operating prosumer cameras (e.g., Panasonic PTZ, Marshall POV) and managing fiber optic connectivity
  • • Ability to travel up to 80% and work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • • Strong troubleshooting skills in live technical environments
  • • Ability to lead, manage, and adapt roles within a dynamic production crew
