Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the full LogicMonitor lifecycle for a global, multi-tenant environment that already monitors tens of thousands of devices across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid infrastructures. You will be the go-to authority for keeping the platform healthy, accurate, and continuously improving while preserving years of existing design decisions.
  • • Perform daily administration: user provisioning, RBAC, device onboarding/off-boarding, group re-orgs, dashboard creation, alert tuning, and SLA-driven reporting for both internal stakeholders and external clients. You will execute hundreds of MACDs (Moves, Adds, Changes, Deletes) per month with zero tolerance for data inconsistency.
  • • Engineer and maintain 1,000+ custom DataSources, EventSources, PropertySources, and ConfigSources written in Groovy, Java, Python, and PowerShell. You will refactor legacy collection scripts for performance, add new metrics for emerging technologies, and back-port vendor fixes to keep every collector current.
  • • Design end-to-end automated workflows that push LogicMonitor alerts, CMDB updates, and enriched topology data into ServiceNow incidents, Salesforce cases, and downstream notification channels. You will leverage Edwin AI correlation and LM Envision features to reduce alert noise and accelerate root-cause identification.
  • • Build repeatable, self-service onboarding pipelines for servers (Windows & Linux), network gear (Cisco, Meraki, F5, Palo Alto), cloud resources (Azure, AWS), and custom APIs. You will validate SNMP, WMI, REST, and streaming telemetry collection methods and tune thresholds so that alerts fire only when customer-impacting conditions exist.
  • • Create internal tooling—CLI utilities, web dashboards, and CI/CD pipelines—that allow network, cloud, and application teams to request monitoring in minutes instead of days. You will store code in Git, peer-review pull requests, and publish runbooks so tribal knowledge never walks out the door.
  • • Partner daily with a second LogicMonitor admin, ServiceNow developers, Salesforce admins, and client-facing project managers to translate business requirements into technical monitoring specs. You will lead troubleshooting bridges, present root-cause analyses, and negotiate SLAs that balance coverage depth with cost.
  • • Continuously research emerging LogicMonitor capabilities (e.g., LM Logs, Kubernetes monitoring, SaaS-based collectors) and pilot them in non-production sandboxes. You will produce proof-of-concept reports and cost-benefit analyses that guide quarterly platform roadmaps.
  • • Maintain rigorous documentation: architecture diagrams, data-flow maps, runbooks, and integration playbooks stored in Confluence. You will ensure every change is auditable and every onboarding checklist is repeatable by any team member.
  • • Champion a culture of observability, reliability, and automation. You will mentor junior engineers, host lunch-and-learn sessions, and evangelize best practices that turn raw metrics into actionable intelligence for both technical and executive audiences.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3–5 years administering LogicMonitor (or equivalent enterprise monitoring platform) in a multi-tenant, global environment, including hands-on experience with LM Envision, Edwin AI, and custom LogicModules.
  • • Proficiency in Groovy plus at least one of Java, Python, or PowerShell; demonstrated ability to write, debug, and optimize DataSources and automation scripts under version control.
  • • Deep understanding of SNMP v2/v3, WMI, OID structures, REST APIs, JSON, and streaming telemetry; proven track record of onboarding thousands of devices with accurate alerting thresholds.
  • • Strong grasp of Windows & Linux server internals and core networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls); experience integrating monitoring with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) via native APIs.
  • • Preferred: LogicMonitor Certified Professional (LMCP) or equivalent certification; familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM workflows, Salesforce data sync, infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform), and container monitoring (Kubernetes, Docker).

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive annual salary of $75,000–$85,000 plus performance-based bonuses.
  • • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; flexible spending account (FSA) and 401(k) with company match.
  • • Flexible paid time off policy that encourages work-life balance and remote-first culture.
  • • Career development stipend for certifications, conferences, and online learning platforms.
